Well since I started this blog documenting my kitchen redo and only ever showed the old I thought I would let you see that there is a new. We did all ourselves except for the countertops. Well when I say WE I mean my DAD. Tim and I were just the helpers. Love my dad!
One week challenge
So it’s almost February of 2010 and my poor pitiful blog that I started last year has just a few posts. I admire people who have blogs and have something interesting to talk about every single day! That must say something about my life I think! So in order to light a little fire under my behind I have set a goal to post something on this blog every day for one week. I know I know…just one week you say? Well that’s a much more attainable goal for me than say posting for one month. I need to break this down into small bits and if or shall I say when I post every day for one week then maybe we try for two or maybe even three!
Wow! It’s been awhile!
Well it has been a long time since I posted on the blog. Almost forgot I even had one! So the kitchen is as done as it’s going to get for this year so I will post some pics of our progress when I find them tomorrow. So since we have not been working on the kitchen what has pulled me away from my blog? Well work for one! This has been one busy jewelry making year! Boy am I thankful that sales have been so good and that the ideas still keep coming. I have a new passion too other than everything jewelry related and that is running! Yep running! This from the girl who thought she was going to die and thought she was going to cough up blood after running the one mile fitness test in school. Well I have been out of school for a LONG time and it is amazing what your body can do when you set your mind to it! I have participated in two big races this year. The Army Ten Miler and the Berwick Run for the Diamonds. Had a good time at both and now I have been bitten by the race bug!
Still on Kitchen duty
So I am still working on the kitchen. Tore the walls down to the lathe and put drywall up so we would have a smooth surface for the backsplash. We are going with the smoked pewter thermoplastic kitchen panels. I am very excited to get them up. They are cool and different. I don’t know anyone who has them. This morning at 7:30 am the counter guy called to say he was out front. He didn’t want to knock and wake everyone up so he calls instead….Hmmmm…but he was very nice and did all his measurements and then was on his merry way. Now we wait. I am stripping kitchen cabinets today. Hoping to paint them tomorrow but still torn between a cream or a mushroom grey. Need to make up my mind soon!
New Look
Oh I am doing a happy dance! David hooked up the blog to flow with the website and it looks so much nicer now. I couldn’t stand that feather over there. It made me think of that song Yankee Doodle Dandy! Anyways it’s all about new looks today. While David has been updating all of my computer stuff I have been tearing apart my kitchen so we can update it. Here’s a pic of the start of the demo.

First Blog!
Woo-hoo! I am finally “with it” and have a blog! Oh I have much to ramble on about so this will be a great place to do it. I am currently working on the website adding more items. My wonderful computer guy Dave is answering my many questions and pushing me in the right direction. I transferred my web hosting to godaddy and with it got $50 in free facebook ads! I can’t wait to play and get those made!
