I fell in love with these Australian Opal doublets and couldn't stop myself from buying them in two sizes.  What is a doublet you ask?  In this case they have taken a slice of beautiful, Australian Opal and adhered it to brown Ironstone. It is really quite spectacular.  I wrapped this briolette and laid it into a slightly domed oval of sterling silver that I stamped with a swirly scrolly sort of design.  A twisted sterling silver oval surrounds the opal to showcase it perfectly.  A twisted sterling silver ring finishes things off and this pendant is on a sterling silver chain.  I have antiqued the silver and then brushed and polished it to bring out the details.  The pendant measures about 2" long.  Lobster claw clasp and extender makes this one adjustable from 18"-20".  She is certainly one of my new favorites!
